Reservation Conditions: Reservations made are subject to accommodation availability and payment confirmation. To confirm the reservation, the guest must make the respective payment, as provided for each accommodation.

Payment methods: Payment for reservations can be made via credit card or bank transfer. Guests are also subject to the particular rules available in each accommodation.

Pre check-in: Upon completion of the reservation, the reservation holder will receive an email and/or an SMS from Home Sweet Home Aveiro confirming the reservation and with important explanations about the accommodation and information about additional services (such as transfer or extra cleaning service).

Guests will be invited to fill out an Accommodation Bulletin, which is extremely important for preparing their stay. The Accommodation Bulletin will specifically request the arrival time, the total number of people staying - so that we can provide the right amount of bed linen and bath towels - as well as mandatory information regarding foreigners and border services. Guests must indicate the exact number of people in the Accommodation Bulletin. The number of guests specified in the reservation cannot be greater than the number of guests present in the accommodation. If the number of guests exceeds the limit, Home Sweet Home Aveiro reserves the right to require guests to leave the accommodation without any compensation or refund of fees paid. Home Sweet Home Aveiro cannot assume any responsibility for incorrect or non-completion of the Accommodation Bulletin. Any attempt to alter and/or violate the original information will invalidate the Accommodation Bulletin and will be subject to cancellation of the reservation.

Cancellation Conditions: After confirming the reservation, the following fees will be applied in case of cancellation: a) The guest will pay 50% of the total reservation amount, in case of cancellation up to 14 days before check-in. b) The guest will pay 100% of the total value of the reservation, in case of cancellation less than 30 days in advance of the check-in date. If an overbooking situation occurs (i.e. simultaneous reservations in the same accommodation) in the Accommodation reserved by the guest, the guest expressly acknowledges and accepts that Home Sweet Home Aveiro relocates the reservation to an accommodation of the same category (in any case, ensuring that the quality of the Accommodation provided is not inferior to that of the Accommodation reserved by the Customer), at no additional cost to the Guest, and without, for this reason, being entitled to any compensation from Home Sweet Home Aveiro.

Conditions of stay: The reservation holder must be at least 18 years old and must remain in the reserved accommodation throughout the stay. Guests under the age of 18 can only be accommodated if accompanied by an adult who is the reservation holder. The reservation holder must provide a valid address, telephone number and email address. No pets (of any breed, size or age) are allowed in Home Sweet Home Aveiro accommodations. Home Sweet Home Aveiro reserves the right to demand that guests leave the accommodation without any compensation or refund of fees paid if any animal is found inside. Smoking is not permitted inside the accommodation.

In accordance with subparagraph a) of paragraph 1 of article 45 of the Convention for the Application of the Schengen Agreement, the accommodation of foreign citizens must be communicated to the SEF, meaning all those who do not have Portuguese nationality. For the purposes of the previous paragraph, all guests with foreign nationality must provide all information relating to their identification, by the maximum deadline of the check-in date, through the Accommodation Bulletin.

Guests must notify Home Sweet Home Aveiro of any damage to the accommodation, contents, equipment or accessories that occurs during their stay, even if the guest considers the damage to be regular wear and tear and not their fault. If the guest does not notify Home Sweet Home Aveiro of such damages, they may be held responsible for them.

Additional services: Home Sweet Home Aveiro offers several additional services to guests, such as private transfers, cleaning and laundry services, cribs, tickets for various tourist attractions.

All additional services are made upon request and are subject to confirmation of availability. Home Sweet Home Aveiro is not responsible for any services provided by external suppliers.

Check-in and Check-out: Upon check-in, identification documents will be requested from the person responsible for the reservation, as well as from all foreign guests, for the purpose of confirming the information provided. Unless otherwise agreed, check-in at the accommodation on the expected arrival date will take place between 3pm and 8pm. In case of late check-in - from 8pm -, an express check-in service may be available, and the guest must confirm this possibility in advance with Home Sweet Home Aveiro. The express check-in service depends on guests completing the Accommodation Bulletin in advance. Check-out is until 11:00 am and all guests must leave the accommodation by the scheduled time.

Guests must inform their desired check-out time so that a member of the Home Sweet Home Aveiro team can be present. If it is not possible for a member of Home Sweet Home Aveiro to be present at checkout time, the guest can leave the keys on the main table, inside the accommodation and close the door. Guest must NOT leave keys in the door lock. If the guest refuses to leave, Home Sweet Home Aveiro reserves the right to enter the accommodation, remove their belongings, change the locks and also take other measures that may be necessary. (The guest will be responsible for the costs of any such action).

Any change to departure and arrival dates and times must be confirmed by Home Sweet Home Aveiro. If there are delays, without prior notice and without confirmation from Home Sweet Home Aveiro, a fee corresponding to one night's rate will be charged from the security deposit. At check-in, Home Sweet Home Aveiro provides only ONE set of keys, and guests must be careful not to lose them or leave them inside the apartment. Guests must return all keys upon check-out. Additional fees will be charged for lost keys or lock-outs. Fees are charged as follows: Lost Keys (price per key) – 30 euros Emergency visit (between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm) - 20 euros Emergency visit (between 6:00 pm and 9:00 am) – 50 euros.

If it is necessary to hire a locksmith service, the guest will be responsible for the total amount charged by the service provider. The service provider's fee is based on complexity, materials, time spent and other variables. Home Sweet Home Aveiro is not responsible for any items left inside the apartment after the guest leaves. Any belongings found in the apartment can be returned upon request.

The guest is fully responsible for all expenses related to the process of returning their belongings.

Cleaning and laundry: The accommodation will be cleaned before guests arrive. The basic service at Home Sweet Home Aveiro includes a set of towels, bed linen and some toiletries for each reservation. Additional cleaning services and products, including linen and towel changes, are available for an additional fee.

Please note that for stays of 10 nights or more, extra cleaning will be provided. If the guest wishes to have this cleaning, they must confirm the availability of the service on the day of check-in so that the cleaning day and time can be agreed.

If the guest wants cleaning in the middle of their stay and it is less than 10 nights, an extra amount will be charged. To take advantage of this service, the guest will have to inform a member of the Home Sweet Home Aveiro team on the day of check-in so that availability can be confirmed and the day and time for cleaning can be agreed.

Guests must keep the accommodation as organized and clean as possible, delivering it, at check-out, in the best clean conditions so that Home Sweet Home Aveiro can receive the next guest.

Guests must not leave rubbish inside the accommodation, next to the door or outside the building door (when applicable), and must use the rubbish bins on the street designated for this purpose.

Equipment, furniture and items in the accommodation: If an appliance does not work, or if guests are not sure how to use any equipment in the accommodation, they should contact the responsible host at Home Sweet Home Aveiro.
